Very tasty tonkatsu!! Recommended if you want to have tonkatsu for a meal in Nagoya. Please note, I'm not sure if there is an English menu because I'm able to read Japanese so I didn't ask about it. Enjoy!

A small tonkatsu restaurant in Kakuozan. There are often people lining up in front of the store at lunchtime, but when I met my mother at Kakuozan just after 11 o'clock today, It looked like I could get in right away, so I went in. There were thrown flowers arranged on the walls of the store, and a feather pot could be seen in the back. The restrooms were clean, and the small pine bonsai trees were a nice touch. I ordered the upper fillet cutlet gozen (1980 yen). We had delicious rice cooked in a feather pot and carefully selected pork cutlet that was kept at a low temperature. The pickles, miso soup, and egg-cooked rice were delicious, but 6 slices of delicious pork cutlet was too much ^^ In the end, I forced myself to eat all of it. As the restaurant explains, a young man was enjoying his third bowl of rice with free refills, but for kids and seniors who can't eat that much, there is a ``Half Gozen'' (3 or 4 pork cutlets). I would like you to add this item to the menu. I would like to come again to eat with my husband and daughter. Thank you for the meal ^^

A tonkatsu restaurant located in Kakuozan with a luxurious appearance. "That's it! Let's go eat tonkatsu. ” That's how I visited without any prior knowledge. Around 1 o'clock on a weekday, there were two groups waiting and it took about 5 minutes to get there. When I told the staff that it was my first visit, I was told that the rice was carefully selected for each season, cooked in a hagama pot, and that I could have as many refills as I wanted. Well, there are a lot of delicious-looking menu items, but the prices are also quite high, so I ordered the basic ``Josei Roasu Gozen'' (¥1,760). I was surprised when I saw the meal! ! I have never seen such elegant tonkatsu! 😳It seems that the aged meat is cooked at a low temperature. In addition to ponzu sauce, sauce, grain mustard, mustard, and wasabi, there was also rock salt, so I was at a loss as to what to add. I ended up trying everything. 😁 It came with a raw egg, so I checked with the staff just to be sure, and she told me to have the rice with egg. By the way, there was a guide called ``Kiritsu'' on the back of the menu that had detailed instructions on how to eat it. 😂 Thank you!! The rice is as delicious as its reputation! It was so delicious that I ate 3 bowls, but 2 bowls was just right. That's my impression. I was able to enjoy the food while thinking about various ways to eat it, and it felt like I was wrestling with the food. It was a shop that I would want to go to again. Added on 10/26 I ordered the Upper Fin Gozen (¥1,980). I remembered how to eat it last time and ate it with salt, wasabi, and sauce, and I felt very happy. Try the soy sauce for egg-cooked rice and it's even better! As expected, the rice was delicious, and I wanted to have 3 bowls, but I held back and had 2 bowls, which was just right.
