Iida, Nagano, Japan｜Tsukiji

A long-established izakaya with a Showa era atmosphere. Although it is old, it has a relaxing and comfortable feel. I love the yakitori and meatballs here, and especially the meatballs, which are flat meatballs that you won't find anywhere else, seem to have a hidden fan base. It's a bit crispy and has a sweet sauce that makes me want to go back to it sometimes. The yakitori has a homemade sauce that makes it addictive. I also like fried chicken, fried horse mackerel, and grilled rice balls. Their specialty is teppanyaki, which is even more delicious if you add eggs. There are also many types of Japanese sake. If you ask the owner, they will occasionally serve you sake that is not on the menu. In winter, you can enjoy oden with Iida's special green onion sauce.

It seems to be a restaurant loved by locals, so it was easy to enter and had a nice atmosphere. I love meatballs, the price is reasonable, and I want to go again.

This is definitely one of the long-established izakaya restaurants in Iida! Enjoy local sake while watching the grilled food being prepared from the long counter. It will soothe the fatigue of your journey. I would like to take good care of the store, which is about to reach its half-century anniversary.
