This is a famous restaurant that I was told about by a local. They have a wide selection of famous sake, and the food is top-notch. The yakitori is huge, especially the liver. The seats are at the counter and there is a slight rise, so if you are going with a large group, I think reservations are essential. If you sit at the counter, you'll be able to touch shoulders with the person next to you, so you can enjoy a conversation with the chef over the counter, or you can feel the humanity of Aizu while talking with the person sitting next to you. The sake selection is centered around Aizu's famous sake, as well as seasonal limited edition sake, so no matter when you go or how many times you go, you'll never get tired of it.

I visited with 4 men on a business trip. Counter 5.6 people. It's a small rise, and it's not that big with space for 4 people ✖️ 3. But the atmosphere is great. It looks like something you'd see in an old-fashioned movie or an izakaya wandering story. The menu is extensive. Excellent sashimi. I was happy to be able to eat filefish meat for the first time in a while. The best raw oysters (from Onagawa), bite-sized, in-season. Hoya vinegar is odorless and delicious. Sharaku from Fukushima Prefecture is hard to find Japanese sake. It's exquisite. The staff are friendly and it's no surprise that the store is full. I think it's better to make a reservation before going. A must if you come to Aizuwakamatsu.
