Ueda, Nagano, Japan｜そば久

Out of the way unless you're in the quaint onsen town of Bessho in Nagano but this is probably one of the best soba we've had - hot and cold both. Great friendly service too!

Arrived just in time for opening time. There is a parking lot on the road below the store, so you can park and walk. The store is spacious. It was a cold day with sleet falling, but the heating was on and I was warm and happy. I had Tenzaru Soba and Soba Manju. The tempura was crispy and the soba noodles were chewy and delicious. The soba manju comes with three kinds of sauces: red bean paste, sugar soy sauce, and wasabi soy sauce, so I tried all of them. Wasabi soy sauce also goes well, but I think sugar soy sauce is my favorite. I think I want to go again.

It was raining and it was difficult. However, the soba noodles were really chewy and delicious. I listened very well to your story, and I would definitely like to come back from Noto.
