More Comments at Google MapWe lined up 30 minutes before opening on Friday. It is always fully booked, and it seems that they are showing customers on the day in between reservations. I was lucky enough to be able to enter the store right when it opened. Ordered beef tongue, barley rice, yam, and today's vegetables. The tongue is boldly grilled in front of you by the hostess. The rice bowl arrived in about 10 minutes after ordering. A bite. Hmm! Yummy! It has a chewy texture and is probably the best beef tongue I've ever eaten. More barley rice I had three refills. However, it is quite expensive. However, the quality exceeds the price.
It's basically a charcoal-grilled restaurant with extremely delicious beef tongue, run by the proprietress and about two female employees. It's such a popular restaurant that people have been lining up ever since it opened, and unless you have a reservation, you might have to wait a long time. It's a bit far from Kawasaki Station, but the food is so delicious that you won't mind walking all the way to eat it. The shop has a unique atmosphere, and the proprietress' attitude and work style are so cool that you will fall in love with them. Everything from yuba, eggplant, and charcoal-grilled seasonal vegetables to beef tongue, tail soup, and yam rice was delicious.
We started lining up around 5:30pm on Saturday. I had to wait outside because it was fully booked, but there weren't many customers who lingered too long and the turnover was good, so I was there in about an hour. There was a counter and a small raised area, and I passed through the counter, but there was a mountain of beef tongue in the back... The beef tongue was ordered per person, and since there were children with us, they cut it into small pieces. The vegetables were also very delicious, especially the shiitake mushrooms, which were thicker than I've ever seen and had a wonderful texture. The price is a bit high, but you can eat delicious beef tongue, barley rice, and tororo, so you'll be very satisfied. The Tororo was very rich, probably because there was no spice added, and I felt like I had eaten "real Tororo" for the first time in a while. There are several parking lots nearby, so you can drive there, but please be careful as there are many one-way streets and drunk people wander around at night.
