Odawara, Kanagawa, Japan｜ベロ焼きピカソ

This is truly a must visit place in Odawara! The atmosphere was cozy and authentic, the two chefs were super approachable and the food was some of the best we have tried in Japan. We had quite a few things (they serve small dishes) like scallops, barracuda, grilled beef tongue, bacon-wrapped eggplant, figs with miso and the "boss pudding" (flan) and everything was excellent! You can tell they put a lot of effort into their dishes! The service was also fast despite they had pretty much a full house, which speaks volumes about how hard working they are and how well they work together! We will come back!

First visit. I visited for dinner on a weekday, and the restaurant was almost full and buzzing with energy. All the staff are very nice, and the space is stylish yet comfortable with a Showa era atmosphere. The first A5-ranked grilled meat sushi I tried won my heart. From grilled beef tongue (beef tongue) to Odawara's specialty sashimi and skewered dishes, you won't be disappointed. I will definitely go again!! ️
