Excellent food, service and value here. I enjoyed, of course, the fried chicken and chef Takayama also turned out perfectly executed bonito salad and grilled scallop dishes with nihonshu recommendation. The chef and hall staff lady were approachable like old friends and took care of my nihongo deficiencies with uncle google. Good people, great food.

Postscript (January 2023) Currently, there are two restaurants: Karaage Tosaka for takeout and Toriyoshi, a small restaurant. The same people do both. If you want to buy a bento, go to the red one on the left. If you want to eat lunch or drink alcohol, go to Toriyoshi on the right. Both are delicious, so you can eat them. ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー Postscript (September 2022) Eat-in moved next door a few months ago. The red door is the kitchen for takeout. A small restaurant-like place with a signboard of "Toriyoshi" is now a store for eat-in. The table seats are raised in two squares, and the counter seats are spacious. ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー (I checked with the store staff, and it seems that it used to be the Hatchowate branch of Hodogaya's Karaage no Taku, but now it's run differently and is called "Tosaka". The menu is similar. It is a remnant of that) Why did I miss such a good shop? I go there many times during the day and at night. I want to go every day if possible. The inside of the store is about the size of a small ramen shop, with several counter seats and two table seats for four people. At noon, the fried chicken set meal is a fixed menu, and there are daily lunches. At night, there are various izakaya menus, and there are seafood, so alcohol is going on. After all, fried chicken is delicious. It's big. I've been to many big karaage shops, but this one has a good balance. The crispness of the meat and the thickness that does not impair the juiciness of the meat are well thought out. These days, there are a lot of deep-fried tofu shops popping up all over the place, and they're throwing in absurdly strong flavors, but here's a good seasoning. It is a point that can be inferred. Seasoned plums are good throughout. It's a little darker for people who drink alcohol, but it's well-balanced. Also, the dashi stock is delicious. Seafood is also delicious. My personal recommendation is red. It's spicy but the spice works and it's really good. I threw it into my mouth full of spicy and big fried chicken, and poured it down with a splash of hoppy... That's right. I just groan. Now you can join the daily karaage. I can also guess that the seemingly blunt store clerk is actually very kind. Ah, I want to eat fried chicken again!

About 2 minutes on foot from Hatchowate Station on the Keikyu Line. A shop that feels like THE hot spot! There were many regulars, so I guess it's a shop loved by locals. I stopped by for lunch and had the pork shabu-shabu oroshi udon of the day! Not only udon but also dodeca fried chicken and rice came with it. lol I'm surprised that this is 800 yen. Cospa is too good, isn't it? lol After all, lunch at an izakaya is delicious and cheap, which is really helpful. Moreover, it is a rare shop now that smoking is allowed inside! The store clerk is also very kind, and I think that it is easy for even first-timers to enter because it is at home. (Actually I was) No, I'm very happy in many ways. Thank you for the meal! I'll come back later!
