Hakone, Kanagawa, Japan｜Hakone Karaage Karatto

Had an hour between the Hakone Shrine and the sightseeing cruise, so landed here for an early lunch before the flocks come in. Lovely little restaurant serving freshly made "Hakone style" fried chicken with beer bread and a smile. English menu available and they accept credit cards unlike other restaurants in the vicinity. Japanese perfection to cooking as well as serving. The filled plate looked like some kid's kitchen play. It was tasty and sufficient, best enjoyed with a glass of white wine even though it was cold outside. Worth making a stop here for lunch before taking the cruise!

It's a fun restaurant, and the woman behind it worked tirelessly. Their fried chicken was very good. The beer bread and soupe du jour was yummy. I loved the vending machine for dog treats. I took some home to my boy, Gander. He loved them.

Went twice over the weekend I was in MotoHakone. The Karatto Curry was delicious and the Karaage super spicy tasty. Staff were very friendly and it feels so cozy inside especially when rainy and cold out! I would definitely come again as it’s a great little spot for lunch or dinner. Otsukaresama deshita :)
