Nagahama, Shiga, Japan｜Tawaraya Nagahama

Very good find. A friend and I walked in with no reservation on Jan 3rd (a holiday for most) and even though they were fully booked, they still found us a table within 5 minutes. The food was all great! Highlights included all the Omi (近江牛) beef - steak, millefeuille and sandwich - the straw-smoked (藁焼き) katsuo, and the deep-fried oden daikon which was incredibly juicy. I would definitely recommend it.

I entered the store because I was attracted by the straw-grilled letters. It goes without saying that straw-grilled fish such as bonito and yellowtail are delicious. The other menu items were also delicious. My particular favorite is ``Oden radish fried chicken''. What is this? I ordered it with such a feeling, but it was really delicious. Even though it's fried chicken, it tastes like seasoned radish. Strangely, I couldn't stop using my chopsticks. The staff was very responsive and I was able to enjoy my meal comfortably. thank you.

It's delicious no matter what you eat! The people at the store are kind! Many of them have a nice straw-yaki aroma, so you won't have any trouble pairing them with alcohol. You must eat bonito! The fish, meat, and vegetables were delicious! I will definitely come again!
