Shibuya City, Tokyo, Japan｜Karikari Spice

A small restaurant with counter and bar seats only. The menu was in Japanese, but we figured it out between Google Translate and the owner/chef who could speak enough English to explain. We tried all three curries (coconut chicken, herb pork, and chili chicken (the weekly special)), and they were all delicious. In addition to the curry, each plate came with flavored rice, salad greens, pickled cabbage, pickled daikon, and diced apples in yogurt. Prices were reasonable, and we appreciated the good service, friendliness, and helpfulness from the owner/chef.

Super nice tiny restaurant that is not used to have foreign customers. I was offered a starter by a client that seemed to be a usual one. The curry was the best I had in Tokyo. Prepared in front of you by the woman chef that was absolutely lovely, very nice. I will come back on my next trip

Food was 10/10 the curry was insanely good with the perfect amount of spice! The staff was fluent in English and really nice. The place looked fancy on the inside but the price is really cheap only 1500 yen for curry and drink.
