Excellent local Japanese restaurant with reasonably priced set lunches including rice and noodles. Friendly staff. No English menu however.

Agemochi soba (cold) 1,050 yen Visited in the afternoon on a weekday. First customer 5, second customer 4. Inside the store, there are 5 4-seater tables and 2 4-seater tatami rooms. There is one staff member in the hall and three in the kitchen. When the barley tea and towels were brought to me, I placed a verbal order and the food was served in about 8 minutes. I'm glad that tempura such as fried rice cakes are on top of the mori soba, and there's also quite a bit of grated daikon radish, and that the soba soup can be added later at your own timing, so the tempura doesn't get soggy. The tempura consisted of 4 pieces of fried mochi, and the rest seemed to change depending on the season.Since it was summer, there were zucchini, sliced onions, pumpkin, and shishito peppers on top, and it looked gorgeous. It was my first time having zucchini tempura, but it was thinly sliced and had a fluffy texture, making it delicious and seasonal. The soba noodles are thin, but firm and have a nice texture. It looked like it wasn't much, but there was quite a lot of it under the tempura, and there was also fried mochi, so the volume was perfect. The soba soup has a strong soup stock and is slightly sweet. While pouring it over the tempura little by little, I also added some wasabi and finished it perfectly. It was hot, but it was the perfect menu for such a time. Located in an area with many temples, you can enjoy delicious soba noodles in a restaurant with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. There is also a wide range of Chinese food such as set menus and ramen. Please note that on Mondays it is only available for lunch and will close as soon as it is sold out. There are 3 parking spaces in front of the store. There is an ashtray outside the entrance. Thank you for the meal.

I don't go there very often, but each time the dishes are ingenious and delicious. The main soba noodles are thin, chewy, aromatic, and go down well. The accompanying tempura is also impressive as it uses seasonal vegetables. The bamboo shoots were delicious. The staff at the store also have good customer service. This is a store that makes me want to go again and again.
