Hiratsuka, Kanagawa, Japan｜Shonan Soup Curry Kurage

Delicious and healthy soup curry! I got the one with fried tofu and another one with chicken legs. The vegetables are so fresh and tasty. The owner is very nice too. I chose spicy level 3 but it wasn't really spicy. I'll try spicier next time.

I went there with a friend last year, I really love the garnishing, the plating as well. I'm always big about the serving portion and I am happy to say that this restaurant's serving exceeded my expectation. You can play around with their toppings options, you can almost customized it the way you exactly wanted. What meat, what type of curry, the spice level, what type of rice. And of course, the price is way cheaper than other restaurants. I would say, they are serving a healthy food :) I think, they are offering a vegetarian option based on the customization I've seen. Call in advance because this place isn't huge so if you are planning to come lunchtime it'll be busy :) I actually wanna ho back soon~ and I remember I still have the photo we took last year so I'm making a review :)

Phenomenal curry soup. The gentleman that runs the restaurant is a master at his craft and so helpful. You choose a protein, a curry base and a spicy level. Definitely get the salted ma base. 5 was medium spicy in my book, I'll try a 7 next time, but you can go all the way to 15. Best rice we have had in Japan. Only curry soup is served but it is the only thing you need. Cute little shop and beautiful plating.
