More Comments at Google MapThis place is absolutely delicious in a comforting way. It’s not gourmet eating, nor is it meant to be! They serve up soup curry that I found to be a perfect balance of savoury without being too salty — you can have it as a soup on its own without the saltiness being overbearing, or pair it with rice without being too bland. This would make it a 4-star review. The one-star bonus comes from the fact that this place serves up balanced meals, perfect for those traveling without access to a kitchen. It’s incredibly difficult to find places to eat that offers vegetables on their menu, much less diverse options! As much as I enjoy eating out as the next person, I do need my fill of veggies every so often. They have sets loaded with them, and are perfectly cooked. They are served with some crunch and plenty of flavour, instead of mushy over cooked vegetables. I had their “1 day of vegetables” with lamb as a topping. The lamb added a wonderful dimension of the flavour to the broth. Like others have mentioned, if you like it spicy, aim at minimum for a level 10. One should be cognizant of spiciness ratings as it suits the population served by the restaurant!
Delicious food with healthy diet. Very good service and excellent atmosphere for your dining within Saitama Shintoshin.
Bone-in chicken soup curry 1,280 yen Natto and okra soup curry (without okra) 1,080 yen I was hesitant because there was a long line at noon on Sunday, but I got in surprisingly quickly. It's great that you can choose between white rice and brown rice. The spiciness ranges from 0 to 100, and up to 10 was free, so I went with 10. It was totally comfortable. The natto was ground so it was easy to eat and went smoothly. The chicken was also tender and delicious. Were the potatoes a little hard? It was delicious so I would like to come again, but unfortunately it is a little far away.
