2023.03.21 (Tuesday/Holiday) Weather: Sunny Open 11:00 We arrived at 10:58 AM. No one was lining up in front of the store. Reservations are the norm for the store, and the store has an official line on Instagram and Twitter, so you can contact them directly and make a reservation. I contacted them the night before and was able to make a reservation on the first flight. On this day, I was the only one available on the first flight, so I was able to get in even if I didn't have a reservation. It's easier to make reservations than you think, so we recommend making reservations online. I had 3 kinds of Aigake curry for 1900 yen. It was a meal type meal with beans, pumpkin, etc. on top of the rice, and three types of curry prepared on a separate plate. The regular bean curry had a strong soup stock and a lot of beans, so it was really delicious. The curry with braised pork has a tomato-flavored base, and the braised pork is soft and delicious. It was strange that there were fewer customers than I expected. Please come and try this restaurant, which is ranked in the top 10 in Japan according to Tabelog. Payment is by cash only.

I discovered a delicious curry that I couldn't believe was self-taught. The owner was a curry lover after all! (LINE reservation recommended) It was my first time getting off at Sengendai station. It was far from Tsukishima. There weren't many people around due to the cold wind, making me wonder if there was a shop. Depending on the MAP, it should be here! I thought it was a Karaoke Nova sign. eh! When I got closer, I saw the Mokuromi sign below. I was relieved to see a sign at the top of the stairs that said ``I'm doing it.'' 2 previous customers. Actually, I was told later that there are fixed serving times and that most people have reservations. Apparently there was a spot available and they accepted me outside of normal business hours. I was panicking because I didn't know anything. We recommend checking the time and details on Instagram and making a reservation from LINE. (That's what I'm told) So, I immediately decided to order 3 types. 1,800 yen. Pork (the usual one), beans (the usual one), and this week's limited edition curry is chicken mappas. When I looked up what Mappus is, it seems that it is a curry that originated in a community in the southern Indian state of Kerala. Are coconut and coriander the basic ingredients? And this was irresistibly delicious. Pork and beans seem to be a staple here, and the curry is delicious with deep flavors and spices. The rice is also made with domestic rice, basmati, barley, and brown rice, which gives it an enjoyable texture and goes well with the curry. There were also two types of side dishes on the plate, and with about three bites left, I mixed them all together and ate them all at once. Before I knew it, I was the only one, so we talked about curry for a while. It's really fun to exchange information like introducing each other's recommended curries. It may be obvious, but the owner of the local shop at Sengendai also loves curry and eats it all the time. I'll make a reservation next time. They seem to accept same-day reservations (such as those planning to go now).

A system for taking reservations on line at the store (previously Instagram DM). The day I went was on a weekday at noon, so I was in a hurry, so I decided to go as far as I could, make some notes, and wait. Then, I was lucky enough to get in, so I parked at the Aeon next door (if you spend even 1 yen shopping, you get 1 hour free). Since it was my first time, I ordered two types of dal and pork from the regular menu. The scent is irresistible. It's so delicious that you'll be captivated by every bite. Free rice refills. It's a spice curry, so it's a bit pricey at 1,500 yen for two types, but it's worth it.
