Nostalgic yet new and delicious ☆ European style curry A follower's friend started this year, "Kareiya Nakao Shokudo" I was curious because many followers and influencers were visiting, but I finally visited for the first time (^^)♪ The store is located in a residential area near Arako Kannon, and it's a location that you wouldn't know about if you were just passing by (^^;; I feel like I might get lost if I vaguely remember, but this is the place where I lived when I was a child, so I arrived at the store without getting lost by following the instructions on the car navigation system. Most of the time, I can get there if I follow the instructions on the car navigation system. When I go to a place I don't know, my anxiety gets in the way and I end up taking strange directions and making mistakes (lol). When I arrived in front of the store, the parking lot in front of the store was empty so I parked easily☆ The store is originally a home/store that was renovated from my parents' home, which used to be a beauty salon, and the first thing you'll be surprised by is the imposing storefront. There are wine bottles and cooking utensils embedded in the outer wall, making it very stylish. When you enter the store, you will find a chic interior and a calm atmosphere☆ When I entered the store around 1:20pm on a Saturday, there were no customers in front of me, and the owner greeted me with a smile (^^)♪ I was guided to the seat of my choice, but I took the opportunity to sit at the counter near the cooking area♪ The owner has been making curry as a hobby for 30 years while working in the travel industry for many years❗️ I have always wanted to own my own store someday after I retire, and this is the store that made my dream come true ☆ As soon as the store opened, the store continued to prosper thanks to the messages from many influencers, and I saw posts on the store's Instagram almost every day about how the number of drinks remaining for the night was running low and they sold out quickly. I thought it would be a high hurdle to visit, so I visited during the day. The lunch menu starts with curry rice and curry fried udon using curry roux, and cheese grilled curry and Indian spa are new additions to the menu. First, I ordered the basic curry rice ☆ The average size was 200g of rice, so I changed it to a large size☆ ◯Curry rice ¥990 ◯Large 250g ¥61 ◯Takosan Wiener ¥181 The mini salad arrived first♪ After waiting for a while, what came out was rice served on a stainless steel plate and curry in a gravy boat❗️ The gravy boat looks like a magic lamp, and I don't remember seeing it at any restaurants recently, but it's the kind of vessel that came out when I ate at a fashionable restaurant when I was a kid, and it seems that the owner is particular about it❗️ For the Showa generation, this nostalgic and coveted vessel makes them excited (lol) Immediately serve the curry with rice to your liking, and it will give you the nostalgic taste of the thick European curry you used to eat when you were a child. The onion has a light sweetness that brings out the deliciousness of the curry roux. The gravy boat contains chunks of beef, but it's been simmered until it's soft enough to fall apart with a spoon, so of course it tastes delicious. The curry is said to be made with beef neck tendon, and it was quite soft even during the day, but when it's open at night, it's simmered for several more hours, so it's no longer drinkable lol. The spiciness is very mild, which is the complete opposite of the spice curry that is popular these days, but the uniquely blended curry was still a delicious European-style curry with a nostalgic feel and a simple aroma of spices (´´ ∀`)♪ Another great thing about toppings is that you can add nostalgic ``Marushin hamburger'' or ``Takosanu wiener'' for 181 yen each♪ This time, I’ll keep it modest, Tako-san Wiener ☆ The oiliness of the Tako-san Wiener that I eat between curries made me feel nostalgic and delicious (lol) Next time I want to try something less spicy♪ There are always a few cups left at night, so I thought it would be a good idea to make a few more, but I had my doubts when I heard that they only make enough for up to 25 people a day because if you make a large quantity, the flavor will vary. is solved(*゚▽゚*) There were no other customers in sight that day, so I was able to have a fun time talking about curry and eating around with the owner who seemed to be a talkative person (´∀`)♪ A follower who is a friend of the shop owner said that he was too picky, but this one was delicious without being too picky. Recently, there are many shops that offer smooth roux, but this is different. Even I, who doesn't like spicy food, enjoyed it. Meat is also guinea. delicious. As you eat, the spices gradually become more effective. For men, it may be better to order a different menu or have a large serving of rice. I was worried about the price. Isn't it too cheap? It's rare these days to find a restaurant that serves roux and rice separately, so it feels special. He was a friendly master. The shop was new and clean. I'll come back later! At some point, I was finally able to visit the store I had been thinking of coming to. Curry rice + large serving + Marushin hamburg steak order. Comes with mini salad. Rice is usually 200 grams. Large serving + 50 grams. There was enough roux, and I wanted to eat a large serving of 400 grams. Real food! The roux contains large chunks of beef, and the meat is tender and delicious! I ate Marushin hamburger for the first time, It goes well with curry. Next time, let's use it as a topping for the Kanazawa retort curry that I always have at home. It was really delicious, but I think I would have been more satisfied if the amount of rice was a little more and the roux was a little more hot. Thank you for the meal. I will come again.
