Toba, Mie, Japan｜Iwashitei

I had a set of Grilled Iwashi Fish (Sardine) on Rice, Fried Breaded Iwashi with Tartar Sauce, and Iwashi Sashimi. All the dishes I had were so fresh and delicious especially Grilled Iwashi on Rice. It’s my first time having Grilled Iwashi (Kabayaki) which was unexpectedly delicious compared to Unagi that is more common for this type of dish. The grilled Iwashi was tender, juicy, and flavourful. I highly recommend it. The price was reasonable. The service person was also very attentive and genuine. This’s one of my best dinning experiences during this trip in Japan.

Delicious food at reasonable price

I ordered the "Sardine Sashimi Set Meal". The sardine sashimi had small bones that were carefully processed, and the meat was thick, sweet, and very delicious. The nanbanzuke and fishtail soup were also excellent. We also had free refills of rice. The service was also polite and kind. The staff explained the menu and made recommendations.
