I had a great time with my local guides friends here. This restaurant is decorated in traditional japan style. How to order a meal when you're sitting on the upper level? You have to ring the staff by using the old style telephone on the table. haha, that's interesting! The food was really good as well. No doubt I'll come again.

If you don't speak Japanese, just ask for "tendon" ;)

230623 revisited Due to the coronavirus, I haven't visited Tempura Marunaka in a while. As always, even though the tempura is fried in sesame oil, it's not greasy, and served with fried soba noodles, making it easy to eat. On this day, there were some take-out customers, and they were regulars who knew that the food was delicious even when it was cold. It was my first visit in about 3 years, but I was relieved to see that the quality and value for money were still going strong. ________________________________________________________________ Good at cooking. In the past, it was run by a strong-looking general manager, a landlady, and the mother of the hall, but now it is a long-established store with a moderate appearance, run by a proprietress and a young manager. I have visited many times, and I recommend the ``shrimp/conger eel'', which is served with a whole conger eel, and both the set meal and the tempura bowl are delicious. The young general begins preparing conger eel after receiving an order. The frying oil poured into a large deep fryer is very fragrant sesame oil. The flour is added to the batter as needed each time an order is received. No, the best recommendation is not the menu, but a seat at the counter in front of the young, hard-working chef, who must have been trained by the general, whose face I don't see at the moment. A place where if you stop by by yourself and there is an empty seat, you can ask if you can sit and then sit down. A special seat where the fried soba is placed right in front of you. First of all, shrimp is the king of tempura. Even though the batter is crispy fried, you can enjoy the crispy texture. I couldn't help but ask how they judge the degree of heat. When I asked, ``Is it the color of the clothes? Or the bubbles?'' she answered, ``It's the sound, too.'' ・・・I'm very sorry, but while I was listening to an ensemble with Abura and Tane, I spoke to her and I thought I had lost my mind. The conger eel served whole has a nutty and nutritious flavor that will fill your eyes and stomach with a sense of satisfaction. The sauce is sweet, and the rice bowl is even sweeter, but it's not overpowering and you can easily enjoy it in your mouth. We may also ask for kisu, megochi, and sometimes sea bream, but all of these fish are cooked so that you can hold them firmly with chopsticks, but when you put them in your mouth, they fall apart and the flavor spreads. There are seasonal seeds, but we recommend checking if you go between autumn and spring to see if there are gobies and oysters. Personally, I think it's a tempura restaurant in town that doesn't quite have this quality.
