Onomichi, Hiroshima, Japan｜Kurata

Very friendly and inviting staff. The food was great, they were very patient as we used a translator app to figure out the menu. Sashimi and deep fried garlic stood out and my boyfriend said it was the best fried chicken he’s had on the trip so far.

We arrived later in the day in Onomichi and craved some dinner, after walking around for a bit we found that most places close before 10PM (even if they say they don't). This is not one of those places :D Walking in we were welcomed by the owner and his mate who really made a welcoming atmosphere, as with our/their broken Japanese/English and Google translate we were able to have a super good conversation about recommendations in Onomichi Lastly the food here is super yum and reasonably priced given our circumstance. We had a couple of beers and the yam chips with Okonomiyaki. Overall give this place a 5/5, would definately come here again next time we are in Onomichi
