I stopped by on my way home from work, and I was feeling a little depressed as it was the last order, but the staff attentively asked, ``Do you still want to order?'' and I was able to eat to my fill. All of them were exquisite and I was amazed, ``Wow, tempura can be this delicious!'' There are 3 types of salt so I want you to try them all.

Tempura Shinjuku Tsunahachi Kitasenju branch. When visiting Tokyo, I often spend a week or so in Kitasenju at the Coco Grand Hotel. Kitasenju has many restaurants and is convenient for excursions to Saitama. Tsunahachi is the best tempura restaurant in the area. In January and February they often feature Japanese butterbur sprout tempura. A tasty harbinger of Spring. I also enjoy the main store in Shinjuku where one can order loach loach tempura.

We made tempura to our liking using seasonal ingredients, and it was delicious. The sea urchin seaweed-wrapped tempura was exquisite.
