More Comments at Google MapFor the price, I think is reasonably cheap compare to sushi. Everything are fresh, reasonable quality. The biggest selling point is to see the “god of tempura” and you guarantee to see him if you are on counter seating. Hence, if you would like to see “god”, is by far better than sukiyabashi jiro. For food, is a good experience but possibly not the highest standard.
Very unique experience in Tokyo. I enjoyed watching how chef use different technique to prepare different ingredients by the counter. The squid, uni, elm and the green nuts(sorry I don’t know the name in English) are all cooked to the best! But to be honest(definitely no offense!), there is limitation of tempura, the best of it might not be more mind-blowing than I expected for a “god”. So might need to manage expectation before trying. Lastly, chef is happy to take a photo together by request! Happy proof of memory😁
Best tempura I’ve ever had! The chef changes temperature of the oil and type of batter, depending on what is being fried, leading to a perfect bite every single time. We had vegetable, shrimp, shrimp head, different types of fish, uni wrapped in shiso leaf, ginkgo nuts. Dip in tempera sauce with radish or salt!
