This place was absolutely fabulous… say no more… just go!

I have visited Daimaru several times, but this is my first time at Tsunohazuan. When I first called to ask about seats, I was told that all the seats were already taken, but I got a call back 10 minutes later and was told that they would somehow find a seat. You can already feel the hospitality from here. The store is located in a nice-looking building in Shinjuku Sanchome. By the way, Quanjude, famous for its Peking duck, is also located in the same building. It feels a little more upscale than Daimaru, with a small waiting lounge right from the entrance. Order the Yamakaze course for 7,700 yen. Appetizer, shrimp rolls, seafood, two types of vegetables, two types of shellfish, refills, stuffed shiitake mushrooms with shrimp, conger eel, fried shrimp, meal, sweet flavor. What was impressive were the scallops, clam shellfish, and vegetables. The scallops are seasoned with lemon and salt, and the clams are seasoned so you can eat them as is. They have devised ways to bring out the original flavor. The vegetables are shishito and okra. The taste and aroma stand out so much that you'll wonder if it was ever so fragrant. This is delicious. The meal was fried shrimp and vegetables. You can choose to have this with Tendon, Ochazuke, or white rice. I always eat Tendon, but even though I've only eaten this much before, I can eat it for a long time without feeling hungry. Overall it was a very satisfying meal. However, when I checked out, I found out that only this restaurant added a 10% service charge to dinner. Is that why the service was good? That's what I thought, but I'm glad I was satisfied with the result.

I love tempura and have visited many times for dinner and lunch. If you want to eat tempura, this is definitely a recommended restaurant! This time I had it at the counter. The sound of the tempura being cooked is soothing, and the chef's skilled hands and exquisite tempura can be enjoyed right in front of your eyes. Tsunohazu-an also has a clean private room where you can have a conversation without worrying about your surroundings, making it perfect for dinner or entertaining. The quality of the food and customer service is also high, so you can trust this restaurant to entrust your dinner with your loved ones. The most important course is the tempura, which is made with carefully selected ingredients and coated in a crispy batter, which is very delicious. In particular, you should try the sea urchin, which is so delicious that it easily exceeds your expectations. The volume is plentiful and filling. I've been there several times and never get tired of the taste, menu, and drinks. The staff are also very knowledgeable about food and alcohol. Amidst the hustle and bustle of Shinjuku, this is a special shop that I would like to visit again!
