More Comments at Google MapOutstanding tenpura dishes, some of the best I have had. We didn't get to try their sashimi but looking at other diners constantly ordering it, we will give it a go. The menu is 100% Japanese so know how to read or bring a friend who can. Get there as they open as it appeared they always are full with reservations. Will definitely eat here again.
This is an izakaya I've been going to occasionally for over 10 years. I highly recommend it at night, but the quality and value for money for lunch is second to none. We were the second group to arrive at 11:45 when it opened at 11:30. There was one group waiting at 12:00. Several seats at the counter and a tatami room with a sunken kotatsu. Even if it's full, it can only accommodate about 15 to 20 people. The capacity of the shop feels like a private izakaya. I ordered a large serving of Choji lunch rice (950 yen). Large bowls are free, large bowls are 100 yen, and refills are 150 yen. What about second helpings of rice bowls? How do we do it? lol Choji lunch is a set meal of sashimi and tempura. The sashimi is served on shaved ice, so it's always fresh even if you eat it slowly. Tempura includes shrimp, pumpkin, kisses, and shishito peppers. The miso soup for the lunch set is a red soup stock with wakame, mitsuba leaves, and nameko mushrooms...is it from a restaurant? ? It comes with salad, small chawanmushi, pickles, and mini coffee jelly. 950 yen... The prices have increased, probably due to the rising prices, but they are still cheap. Personally, I think a set meal costs around 1300 yen. I also recommend the Yokubari Tendon, but the portion is huge so you'll have to go hungry.
In conclusion, good value for money and high quality! I ordered a Choji lunch during the daytime♪ When I sat down, I was given tea and a wet towel (not a paper napkin, but a wet towel!!) All food is fried and cut after ordering, so it's fresh Even though it's sashimi from the lunch set, it's served with ice underneath. Steamed egg custard is small, but there is a small shrimp inside. I don't usually drink miso soup at restaurants because it doesn't taste good! Choji's miso soup was also delicious; I think it's probably handmade. I would like to try other sets if I have the chance. Thank you for your meal
