Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and very reasonable prices for tempura and drinks.

I ordered lunch, and it wasn't all that expensive, and the freshly fried tempura was delicious. Especially Toriten and Kissten. Drinks that come with lunch are served in a jockey. I'm glad that places like this are such a great value (^-^) Apart from lunch, I also ordered horse sashimi. This is also the best. It seems to become a habit. Lunch comes with plenty of Nozawana wasabi on a small plate. It seems like you can refill this. The store has a really nice atmosphere, with a handsome manager and friendly employees. I used to go to the Fushimi store often, but it might be better value for money than Fushimi. Next time I go, I would like to try the soba set.

★ Luxurious freshly fried tempura lunch from noon★ This restaurant is located a little further down Hirokoji-dori towards Ikeshita from Imaike Subway Station, and is an izakaya at night and a tempura-focused izakaya that serves lunch and drinks during the day. I stopped by around 1:00pm to have a set lunch meal. You can order a set menu that comes with tempura and sometimes soba for 800 yen or more, and the famous chicken tempura made with domestic chicken breast is included with every set, and you can also order it additionally. Today, I ordered the most popular Toriten set meal (800 yen). The set meal comes with a large serving of rice and a free refill of Nozawana wasabi pickles. The tempura is fried to order, and you can enjoy the crackling sound of the fried food. The chicken tempura set meal includes rice, miso soup, and pickles, and the main tempura consists of 3 pieces of chicken tempura, eggplant, pumpkin, lotus root, and a soft-boiled egg. Thank you for the meal! It was the ultimate trio of freshly fried tempura set meal, steamy rice, and miso soup with a strong dashi stock.
