This was some of the best tempura I had in a long time. The place gives attention to each dish and sources sone if the ingredients locally and from the mountains. This is not a fast food place. You should come to enjoy the food and atmosphere. Each plate was made with care and so delicious. The service was excellent, and they were patient with my group due to our limited Japanese speaking skills. ❤️

From the outside, it seemed a little intimidating, so I was a little hesitant to jump in, but the prices are reasonable, and the friendly, welcoming service makes it easy for even one person to come in and enjoy a meal. There is a lineup of local Takayama cuisine, rare tempura, and seasonal items, so you won't get tired of it no matter how many times you come. I was satisfied with the essential taste, and the tempura that fully brought out the taste of the ingredients that I was particular about was very delicious. The standard eggplant (for me) had a crunchy outside and a fluffy inside, which I liked. Unusual tempura such as firefly squid and natto tempura were also delicious, so I would like you to try them. The atmosphere in the store was also devised, and it was a bright interior.

This is my favorite shop that I have been going to for almost 20 years. The tempura is also delicious, and the wild vegetable tempura that the owner personally went into the mountains to collect is the best. You can enjoy toppings that you wouldn't get at a regular tempura restaurant. The customer service of the general manager and staff is excellent, and I am grateful for their attention to detail. I am always grateful for your help! It is also attractive that you can eat local cuisine of Hida Takayama. In addition to the tempura, we especially recommend the red rolls and Takayama Chinese noodles.
