Bando, Ibaraki, Japan｜Matsunoya

A friend I worked with introduced me to this restaurant. The food was very good and reminded me of the home cooked meals I used to have sometimes when I was a kid. The staff were very friendly and if they weren't too busy we enjoyed a conversation. Highly recommend this restaurant.

It has nothing to do with Tonkatsu Matsunoya. I came in on a weekday lunch. Ordered the soba and tempura bowl set ¥930. I was a little overwhelmed for an office worker's lunch, but I was very satisfied with the result. It feels like soba noodles with strong waist and crispy tempura bowl, small bowls and pickles, and soba hot water. The tempura bowl arrived while the soba came first and was being eaten. It is more favorable than coming at the same time.

There are two private rooms (non-smoking), so it is very helpful for families with children. All the dishes I ordered were delicious, such as kamameshi, tempura, and yakitori (^-^) I will definitely go again (^-^)
