We visited Kyorin-an, an old-fashioned soba restaurant. Apparently this building was moved from Fukushima? The care and attention to detail that took time and effort can be seen in everything. There are about 4 to 5 parking spaces in front of the store. . . We are open throughout the day. When entering the store, you take off your shoes at the entrance and change into footwear for inside the store. The inside of the restaurant is dark and reminiscent of an old-fashioned Japanese house, but the interior design conveys the special atmosphere, so you can enjoy your meal in a calm atmosphere. Nine horses are written on old folk implements from Fukushima, Soma ware, hearths, and shoji screens, and there is also a play on ``horse 9'' which means ``going well''. What's even more amazing is that there is a handwritten letter from Hideyo Noguchi's mother on display. I learned how to write letters because I wanted to write a letter to my son! I remember reading that story somewhere. You can see the strength of a mother who cares for her child. I ordered the duck meat oyakodon soba set for 1,400 yen. I was told that it would take some time for the food to be served, but it was served in about 10 minutes. Soba is country soba. Chew it and enjoy it, drink it and enjoy it! It was a delicious soba. It's a set oyakodon, but it's called oyakodon, but since it's egg and duck meat, is it someone else's bowl? I can't say that. The duck meat was overcooked and tasted tough. This wasn't to my liking. disappointing. . . Thank you for the meal! 😋 If you look at Moriya on Google Maps, there are quite a lot of soba restaurants, right? It is clear that Moriya is a competitive area for soba restaurants. 🙂

I had a set of soba and katsudon. Both were delicious. My wife had the tempura and zaru soba set. The tempura was said to be delicious, crispy and not greasy. I'll probably repeat it.
