Onomichi, Hiroshima, Japan｜Aoyagi

Aoyagi was absolutely delicious! It was recommended to me by a family friend, and I can see why. A nice intimate setting with incredibly kind staff and delicious food at a reasonable price? What more could you ask for?

It’s a small restaurant with about 14 seats , seems mostly reserved. They were bit reluctant to accept a single foreigner without reservation. But once I told them that I came to have “Uni Don” , they tried to find a seat for me.

After walking around Senkoji Temple and the streets of Onomichi, I visited the ancient ``Aoyagi''. The store is clean and stylish. I had a good impression of the owner, who had a soft demeanor and courteous customer service. After ordering the famous ``sea urchin rice'', I received the tea that was served for a short time before it came out...it seemed like they used good quality tea and it was extremely delicious. I thought it would be served all at once on a tray like a set meal, but each dish was carefully served...it was a pleasant feeling. The taste is also very delicious with fresh sea urchin! Both the red soup stock and the small bowl of vinegared food had an elegant taste and were delicious, and I was 100% satisfied. I was able to spend a pleasant afternoon. I have found a store that I would like to visit again.
