Chuo City, Tokyo, Japan｜Fish and sake Hanatare Ningyo-cho shop

Usually not a fan of tofu but the fried tofu appetizer was delicious. Had some fish platter with melt-in-your-mouth bluefin tuna, everything was really fresh and laid out with a lot of care.

Amazing seafood, very friendly and helpful staff. The fish is super fresh and flavorful, there’s no English menu but the waiters will help you find a way around. They have a huge selection of sake and take it very seriously. We asked for one just to try and they asked us questions like how we like it, more sweet or dry, they tried themselves first to make sure that they took the right bottle, then served. Overall, I can’t highlight enough how happy this gastronomic experience made us. Don’t be afraid of the small Japanese restaurants with no English menus and just Japanese guests in them. People are extremely nice here and the food is beyond delicious :)

We walked in by chance, upon seeing a restaurant filled with locals. We were lucky enough to get the last table. Everything was in Japanese and there were no pictures on the menu. The friendly staff managed to help us through sign language :)) and we had one of the most delicious dinners in our lives (sashimi, grilled fish, rice, pickled vegetables)
