One of best local Izakaya ~~~ If you want something special as a local culture , go this Izakaya ... Only 15 min from Shinjuku station ... Sashimi is so delicious ...and one of Nihonju (japanese sake) chef recommended was aweeeesome ~~~really good sake ...

Very nice, family-run place with good sized portions and excellent quality. The price is a bit higher than most lunch places, but you definitely get what you pay for. A small warning that the menu is all Japanese and kanji so show one of the photos from the reviews or just all for something. I had the tonkatsu set which came fresh from the fryer and was perfectly cooked and accompanied by a nice set of small sides as well as salad, soup and rice. Also refills of rice and soup are free. The couple running the restaurant was also as friendly as the food was tasty.

A little expensive, but the ingredients are very good, the seasoning is light but delicious
