First time ever tested fresh unagi. It's really different than what I usually have in Australia or the packaged ones. Unlike the rubbery texture and very sweet sauce I'm used to, the normal fresh fish texture can be tasted from the dish. It's also very light and healthy. It doesn't taste overwhelmingly fatty too. It's good overall. I give an extra star because it's been days since I ever had real hot tea in japan. Somehow a lot of shops are serving cold or not so hot tea, very different from the japan i know few years ago.

Up until now, the main dishes have been conger eel, Hamanabe, tempura, and sashimi, but Megumi Shinso's book seems to be a lot different than before. The exterior and interior of the store are different. It has a modern Japanese feel. I'm looking forward to seeing how the menu changes.

There are several calm tatami rooms in the back, and when I used it for the Kishou dinner, I was guided to another entrance. There is a lunch menu, so you can feel free to use it. I like the sushi and eel at this restaurant. You can eat the Kusumochi made here after the course, and if you want to buy it as a souvenir, there is a ``Kusumochi Megumi Book'' across the road that sells it. Kujumochi Megumi-no-moto across the street is under the same management as this one.
