It is worth every penny and every minute of wait (if you're a hardcore foodie). I love sushi and I have paid steep prices for sushi. I went to Tokyo for vacation in December 2014 and wanted to try edo-mae sushi. We budgeted to go to a ginza sushi shop but ended up visiting Sushi Dai twice. I visited Sushi Dai for the first time on a weekday at 530am and waited for 3 hours. I was blown away by the quality of food and the friendliness of the chefs towards foreigners. I went back with my boyfriend two days after our first visit- this time on a Saturday and we got there at 430am. We waited for about 3 hours and 40 minutes. I would say the overall experience was equally good as the first time- yet although the food was still great, it was not as mind- blowing as the first time. I would definitely visit again if I'm in the area for vacation. The wait is extremely long- I've never waited so long for food, not even in certain popular brunch spots in SF without reservation- but food is superb and of great value.

The sashimi is extremely fresh, and the appetizer is hand-cooked sea bream, so it's amazing how they don't cut corners! I think the contents of the lunch set have changed now, but it is a restaurant with the best value for money (^^)

It's located in a residential area, so it's hard to tell from the outside that it's a restaurant, but the only sign is the flag. I stopped by for lunch while cycling. Lunch is a reasonable set price of ¥1,000 including tax. This time I had the tuna bowl set meal. It's a restaurant that I want to go to again because it's fresh and of course delicious.
