I visited Ajishun for lunch on Wednesday, November 15, 2023. This is a popular Japanese cuisine restaurant in Iwatsuki. I entered the store after disinfecting with alcohol. The structure of the restaurant is that there are counter seats on the first floor and table seats on the second floor. When I visited, the customer base was wide-ranging, young and old, and there seemed to be many regular customers. Jazz and Western music were playing inside the store. When I took a seat at the counter, I was given cold water, a towel, and disposable chopsticks. The friendly and polite customer service from the staff was also good. I had the lunch menu of fried shrimp and oysters with homemade tartar sauce. It comes with a small side dish, miso soup, rice, and pickles for 880 yen including tax. The fried shrimp and fried oysters were served with homemade tartar sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and lemon. The fried shrimp was piping hot, the batter was crispy, the shrimp was plump, chewy, and sweet. The fried oysters are fresh and juicy, and the flavor of the oysters fills your mouth. The homemade tartar sauce also enhances the taste. The rice was cooked well and the meal went well. The accompanying salad was shredded cabbage and mizuna with sesame dressing. The miso soup is piping hot and has a lot of ingredients, and the soup stock is good and permeates all five organs. The small bowl was simmered hijiki, and the pickles were pickled takuan and lightly pickled cucumber. It was delicious.

The second floor has a large space and you can relax. The delicious sashimi and tipsy set was a great value.

We have been using it since it opened. I am always impressed by Ajishun's quality that exceeds the price. The recommended point is that this is a rare restaurant where you can eat the high-quality fish ``Nodoguro'' anytime. In addition, the menu is sophisticated and has many items to choose from. The master's sense shines. We also have a wide selection of Japanese sake that goes well with the dishes, so we definitely recommend it to those who prefer authentic food!
