Dustbin is provided to dispose your plates & skewers. Though the unagi is reheated but it’s still tender and delicious. An ably match for most unagi bento though overwhelmed by the dedicated unagi artisan restaurant. The snow crab skewer is still delicious and sweet after refried, not that greasy at all. Overall a no frills shop with delicious food.
Going through hustle and bustle in the world-famous Nishiki market, I re-discovered the purest scrumptiousness at this fish tempura restaurant! Hamoten, daggertooth pike conger tempura, changes your whole perspective of tempura. Once your mouth touches the umami of hamo, you’re already uncovering the exquisite part of Japan-famous tempura! Indulge in the world of tempura and well-coordinated harmony!!
At 10:30 on Sunday, August 27th, I was wandering around Nishiki Market! Now, rather than a market, it has become a street for foreigners to eat at high prices. The cozy atmosphere is gone, and the prices often change depending on the time of day and day... By chance, I noticed the hamo tempura and hamo cutlet lined up at this shop, so I decided to eat in. Well, if it's 600 yen per bottle... The way they are arranged and presented is very good. Almost all the customers in line ordered Hamoten and Hamokatsu. When you order, the food is prepared right in front of you and then fried even more lightly. There is a simple space inside, so you can easily eat there. The conger conger here is plump and the flavor of the fish is amazing. The crispy batter was also delicious and went well with it. I felt like I wouldn't mind shrimp tempura with this batter. Be careful not to eat too much!
