Kyoto, Japan｜Tsumugu

This restaurant became my must visit list of Kyoto. The chef is an artisan. Everything are served in detail with some ideas make them special. The drinks option were nicely chosen. I wanna try all of other dishes in the future for sure.

Very simple uncomplicated food that's full of flavour. Happy to go back again. Great value too. The English menu was very limited. We sat at the counter and asked the Chef..... He recommended dishes, so much more interesting than what's on the translated version. Talk to him before you order!

If you want to eat delicious Japanese food at reasonable price before boarding the Shinkansen, Tumgu recommends it. Tsumgu is a Japanese restaurant where you can eat cooked rice with Kamad. Kamad is the old Japanese rice cooking system . Kamado rice is exceptionally delicious. There are seafood and meat dishes on the menu, but I would like to especially recommend dried seafoods. Let's try Harako meshio. It's served in the small rice bowl style of small Kamado. As it cooks from rice and takes time until it is finished, let's order early.
