The service alone deserved a 5 star. It was Christmas Eve and it was very busy there. Therefore the staffs couldn't serve me as fast as they would liked, which was understandable. To make it up to me they gave me freebies. They were really helpful too even though they struggle with English. Would come back again just for their honest and earnest service.

Just before 6pm on Sunday, I visited the Kadoya Kariya store for dinner. This is a restaurant specializing in liver dishes, which is rare even in Japan, and although I have visited the main store in Fushimi, Nagoya several times, this is my first time at the Kariya store. Conveniently located just a few minutes walk from the north exit of Kariya Station. Since I was alone, I was seated at the counter. First, I had a beer with grated lebapon and crab liver cream croquette, both of which were satisfying in both volume and taste. Today's main dish was the offal curry that caught my attention from the menu posted on the wall. It was a hit, as the phrase "beef heart, beef tongue, beef offal" and "slowly stewed" said! The spicy roux is filled with "beef heart, beef tongue, and beef offal," and is also topped with fried offal. The plate is deep and has more roux than it looks. Since I was also drinking beer, I ordered a regular serving of rice, but I could have ordered a larger serving. As I was enthusiastically telling the staff that 750 yen was a bargain, a young man who looked like a student sitting nearby said, ``That's what everyone who eats curry says.'' Right! Another young man who heard this ordered curry.

The atmosphere is like a typical izakaya, but the menu specializing in liver (liver and offal) is unique! There is also horse sashimi. The menu is quite addictive, so it's not recommended for everyone, but if you like liver, you can't go wrong! ! I visited for the first time in August 2023, but the repeat is confirmed! ! 🤩
