We took our son for his 10th birthday. We sat in the boat and fished for our dinner. It was a fantastic experience! We didn't speak any Japanese at the time, so we had a friend make reservations for us. You can fish for your dinner or order from the menu or both. If you catch something you do not wish to eat, you can trade it for something else on the menu. It was a fantastic restaurant, delicious food, with an exciting atmosphere. They beat the drums every time a fish is caught and there were many children, families, and business men and women all there at the same time. You can sit in a private room if you do not want to sit on the boat. I highly recommend Zauo at least once for foreigners and locals alike!
