This store is right next to the Obu Station rotary. You can't see what's going on inside the restaurant from the outside, but if you muster up the courage (?) to open the sliding door, you'll find yourself inside an orthodox izakaya. The main interior of the store is a tatami room. I take off my shoes, step onto the tatami mat, and look over the menu at the low table. The menu varies depending on the day, including sashimi. Although the price is reasonable, the large-cut sashimi is delicious. Boiled fish has a hearty, sweet seasoning that gives it a comforting taste. The recommended item is the ``braised eggplant grated''. This is really delicious! The deep-fried eggplant is cut into large pieces and is soaked with flavor, and the grated radish goes well with it. It's a shame that there aren't many types of sake, but we do have a 300ml bottle of ``Nenohihonjozo'' raw sake. With an alcohol content of 14%, it has a light yet cold taste that goes well with dishes. Everyone at the store is kind. You can visit on the same day, so it will be smoother if you make a reservation in advance. It's a good place to have a small gathering near Obu Station and eat seasonal fish. You can see the shop from your home, so if you visit once, you'll definitely come back again.
