Kujukuri, Chiba, Japan｜Yanagiya

This place is a hidden gem for fresh oysters and shells (and other seafood options). Place is spacious and price is reasonably cheap. Located at the end of Kujukuri Beach Toll, you'll see the fish sign with old vintage store style. Please get a quick seafood lunch here like you would not get similar experience in big cities restaurant like in Tokyo.

A fantastic venue. A simple fish market vibe selling live shellfish. The scallops cooked at the table were the best I've had and the oysters weren't far behind. Well priced and friendly staff

Family-run (very fresh) fish-based restaurant just off Katagai beach open from early in the morning. The lady in the dining room was really kind to recommend me the local fish and the environment in general is very pleasant. Excellent dishes at more than affordable prices; the sashimi was fresh and plentiful, the ikayaki literally melted in your mouth and the marinated aji donburi was really tasty. There is also the possibility to grill your own fish (like the famous hamaguri, typical of Kujukuri), but I didn't try it this time. Well, it's one more reason to come back to Kujukuri to this restaurant😉
