A quiet cafe a few minutes walk from the JR, and I was able to sit down and enjoy a wonderfully dark cup of coffee, a hard-boiled egg, toast, and a salad for about $3.25USD.

I ordered the top of the eel bowl (4,180 yen including tax). Visited for lunch at a memorial service (first Bon). The eels are from Mikawa Isshiki (only in restaurants in Tokai (Aichi, Gifu, Mie)) and are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The moderately sweet and salty sauce goes well with rice. The quality of the kabayaki eel, which is thick and has plenty of fat, is perfect even for a chain restaurant. It was very delicious.
