Obuse, Nagano, Japan｜Irohado Obuseten

Iroha-do is a chain of oyaki shops, and this one is very conveniently located near the Hokusai Museum, so it is a great place to stop and recharge. Oyaki is a type of stuffed bun, somewhat smaller than manju. The oyaki of Iroha-do are vegetarian, with a good variety of flavours available. Do try some of the more exotic ones too - we liked all the favours we tried, even the thistle! The staff were also nice and courteous. You can dine in, or you can buy frozen oyaki.

This is my first time visiting the Obuse store. I often buy and eat it at MIDORI near Nagano Station. Both the skin and the ingredients are delicious, and Irohado's oyaki is my favorite.

I visited Obuse for the purpose of eating while walking. When I arrived, I stopped at another oyaki shop and came to this shop after that. The moment I entered the store, it was expensive! However, when I came to this store, I realized that the store I stopped by the other day was way too cheap. It was about 1.5 times more expensive than the previous store, so I was debating whether to go in or buy it (although I think it was still cheap), but since it was a good opportunity, I decided to buy it before I left. In conclusion, this one is super delicious! ! ! If you come to eat oyaki for sightseeing purposes, you should definitely come here. The store itself is spacious and clean, and above all, it's beautiful, so maybe that's why the price per unit is so high? ! That's what I thought, but I was wrong. That may be true, but even though it's expensive, it's super delicious! ! ! ! The restaurants nearby are also delicious, but I was impressed by this one. It seems that they are also available for mail order, so I recommend ordering them from time to time. I will definitely go to eat at this restaurant when I go to Obu. Everyone should definitely go eat here.
