This literally might be the best quality to price airport meal I've had in my entire life. Only 2000 yen for a delicious fresh mixed rice bowl including salmon and uni. It was better than all the sushi places I went to in the city. Highly recommend going out of your way to try this spot when waiting for a flight. It's on the left side of the larger restaurant by gate 12.

One of my biggest frustrations when going to Sapporo & Otaru is the endless rows of tourist-trap seafood restaurants selling seafood at such exorbitant prices that could rob you of your whole budget if you ever succumbed to their lure. So it was such a nice surprise to discover an eating area inside the domestic departures gates area of ShinChitose where I can fulfill my wish of savoring the freshest sushi at a reasonable price. Located inside Hokkaido Shokudo/北海道食堂, Shima no Hito serves kaisendon and seafood goods from Rebun Island. I always order this seafood bowl with four types of seafood and served with silky seaweed soup, pickles, and a seaweed-wrapped fish delicacy. And it costs less than ¥2,000.
