We visited on a Thursday evening around 18:00. It is a small family owned restaurant run by an elderly couple. They are very nice,attentive and very helpful and speak fluent english. The menus are available in english and japanese. We had the traditional Chankonabe soup for two. It is served hotpot style and is cooked directly on your table and keeps simmering while you eat. Quality was fantastic, everything is fresh and tasty. For the soup, second helping of vegetables, 2 beers and Softdrinks we payed about 10.000¥

Fantastic little restaurant with the perfect owners that deliver extra friendly service. I had the hot soup with fish and meat and it was amazing and delicious. Highly recommend the family atmosphere in this cosy place.

Excellent atmosphere, outstanding service, and great food!! This place is where locals go to eat Chanko. The staff and owner/chef (former sumo wrestler) are extremely friendly and make their customers feel very welcome. They specialize in chicken shio chanko and also in blowfish dishes. All their fish and sashimi served on menu is fresh from Tsukiji, and all vegetables are locally sourced and seasonal. Great selection of sake, too! To top it all off, their bathrooms are incredibly clean. The restaurant has only three tables so you have to make reservations first, but you can usually find a table on same day of reservation. I’m so glad we gave this place a try, will return next time we’re in Tokyo.
