Nice little izakaya that serves set meals (choice of protein, with rice, salad, pickles and small bowl of stewed daikon) and ala carte. Highly recommend the mackerel or salmon with saikyo miso set. The fish is marinated in the miso paste (saikyo miso is a white miso from Kyoto and contains less sodium). The excess miso is scraped off before grilling. There's also beer, whisky, soft drinks and a large variety of sake at reasonable prices. The only drawback is the TV that they have on. Other than that, it's a local spot with good, honest food.

The second floor has tatami mats, which is very spacious and comfortable. The food tastes good, but the serving speed is a little slow, but it is tolerable considering the quality of the food. I ordered pork rice (カツ丼). The meat was not tough and the side dishes were reasonable. The regular portion of rice I ordered was a bit filling. The first floor is a small table with seats for one or two people. There are more people. The price is NT$900 per set meal, which is quite economical.

Casual and friendly izakaya with a nice atmosphere and delicious food! Good value set dinners or order a la carte. Good drinks selection. Not touristy (although there is an English menu).
