More Comments at Google Mapafter climbing I descended the mountain via the Kurobe Horizontal Walkway and the Shimono Corridor route and arrived at Shinano-Omachi Station. I had some time until my train, and I was really hungry, so I unconsciously ordered wild vegetable egg soba. As I was walking, I endured the pain while thinking to myself, ``I want to eat some noodles, so in Nagano, maybe soba.'' (I hate walking more than anything). The soba here is the best in Japan. Wow, it was really delicious. The 1,500 yen zaru soba you eat in Tokyo is delicious, but the soba that brings tears to your eyes is the 620 yen wild vegetable egg soba here.
Shinano-Omachi Station is known for its nostalgic station building that retains the appearance of a good old mountain hut. Located in the waiting room is Eki Soba, which has a reputation for being delicious. The waiting room, typical of a station in a rural area, is a relaxed community where students, the elderly, and mountain climbers gather and have casual conversations. Eating soba in such a location has a rich atmosphere. When you get off the platform, you can smell the faint scent of dashi soup. This is the moment when I truly feel that I have arrived at Shinano-Omachi Station. I think this is a beautiful Japanese food culture that we want to preserve for the future.
Now you can enjoy precious station soba. It's not a masterpiece, but it's delicious. I think it's the kind of place near the station that makes me want to eat sometimes. Recommended for those who want to relax without worrying.
