More Comments at Google MapCozy restaurant, friendly staff and delicious food. Very very good selection of Japanese sakes. Upon arriving, we were greeted with complimentary sake and a warm dish, which is sooooooo good we ended up ordering too much food. The horse sashimi is extremely tender and fresh, ikari/salmon roes are well marinated, a must try for any roe-lover. Tofu pot is another highlight, though it’s a simple dish, the leek is sweet and tender, the tofu is soft and full of flavor, soup has so much umami, it comes with yuzu vinegar and bonito which just brings the dish to another level. We enjoyed every dish and the service which always makes food taste much better. Don’t miss it if you are in the area or in Japan!
Sake perfect, dishes perfect, service perfect.
Visited in September 2023. The owner of the guesthouse courtyard where we stayed said, ``I'm introducing this to people who want to try local cuisine, and everyone says it's delicious.'' Since I popped in a little before the last order and I'm alone, I'm worried about the portion size, so what's the recommended menu? I was very happy and the answers to my questions were very pleasant. Not only does the food taste great, but I also want to try some sake, but I don't think it's too much time to sample 6 types of sake. They let me try three types of drinks to suit my needs, and even though they were busy with other customers, they took the time to talk to me. Both the manager and the woman who ran the restaurant were polite and attentive. However, the friendly reception made me feel satisfied in both my stomach and my heart, and I instantly fell in love with Aizuwakamatsu. thank you very much. I was planning to visit them the next day, but unfortunately they were closed on Wednesdays. Next time I visit Aizuwakamatsu, I definitely want to stop by.
