Nasu, Tochigi, Japan｜Yuzen

A rare type of restaurant that combines a soba restaurant and a fishing pond. You can just play and eat. Just soba noodles or fishing ponds are fine. You can have it grilled with salt. The soba noodles are also handmade and authentic. When I come to Nasu, it's delicious and I keep coming back.

The nearby fishing spots were crowded, but there were only about 3 groups here at 11:30 on a Sunday. The soba noodles are of a very high quality and delicious. The tatami room was clean and there were toys and picture books for the kids to play with, which was great. The charcoal-grilled rainbow trout had a crispy skin and a fluffy inside, and was very delicious. The fishing rods cost 700 yen each, even though they were grilled for free with a coupon. It takes about 30 minutes to bake, but there are goat and rabbit hutches on the premises, so I didn't get bored while waiting. It seems that the chance to grab one is until September 3rd this year. Next time I want to go in the summer and grab it.

The environment is very good as it is attached to a fishing pond. The inside of the store is orderly and you take off your shoes before taking a seat. Ordering is done by purchasing a ticket from a ticket machine, which is unusual for soba restaurants, and it feels a little bland. The menu is extremely simple, consisting of only soba, udon, tempura, and sweeton. This time, I ordered "Mori Soba" and an additional "Suiton" item. Mori soba is 160g. Soba is a very delicious soba with a good flavor and chewiness that goes down your throat. The sweet miso soup is delicious and the toppings are plentiful, making it a dish that will make you feel like you've just visited Nasu! It seemed like a lot in quantity, but it wasn't, and the food was simple and delicious. The parking lot is spacious and easy to use. If I have a chance, I would like to visit again.
