Kurashiki, Okayama, Japan｜Kita-no-kura

Nice old warehouse with lots of exposed wood and giant tables/ counter...Miles Davis plays as we enjoy our tasty yakitori - nice sake and shochu selection too.

The store's appearance resembles that of the Bikan Historical Quarter. I took a seat at the counter and had a feeling that if the soup stock tasted bad, I should just leave the store in a second, so I went in and took a seat at the counter, but the inside of the restaurant was clean and the soup stock was delicious, so I felt safe for now. The sake was weak, so I selfishly asked for it to be made stronger, thinking it would be impossible, but the person who appeared to be the head chef graciously responded by saying, ``It's still weak, isn't it?'' Confident. Order yakitori, seafood, and more. Everything that came out was delicious, and I don't remember the name of the kushimono, but the part that I think is what they call Gocha in Osaka was so delicious that I had to get a second helping. My companion ended up spoiling me with things like crab miso, mackerel sashimi, and boiled mochi. When I received a suggestion from someone who seemed to be the head chef, ``Would you like some salt instead?'', I grilled it with salt, and it was even more delicious. Myself and my companion are picky eaters, but even after leaving the restaurant, we were very satisfied and said, ``The restaurant was beautiful and the food was delicious.'' I'm the only one who knows how to pay for it, but it's so cost-effective that I even told my partner, ``If it were near my house, I'd stop by.'' When you go to Kurashiki, you won't want to miss this place, so I highly recommend it.

The food came out quickly and everything was delicious. The bill is cash only.
