Kusatsu, Gunma, Japan｜鳥やぐら

Me and my boyfriend came to Kusatsu to stay at a ryokan and get the onsen experience. After a long day of exploring the city and skiing we were craving Ramen! Y’all this joint was it!! If you don’t go here while you are in kusatsu you are missing out. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and welcomed by the chef and staff. The food came out quickly. We ordered the karage and ramen with soy combo. The karage came 3 different ways. It was so crispy, tender and flavorful. The ramen was fire!! Broth was rich and noodles were al dente. Even the pickled cucumber was great! Everything was super intentional and made with love! A definite must try if you are in kusatsu!! Another plus is that it’s in a different section of town that a lot of the visitors aren’t by. We were seated right a way! And it was nice to not be fighting the crowds. We will be back the next time we are this way! Thank you again for a great meal!!

One of the best ramen and karaage in Japan. It is so good! Worth it!!!

My favorite restaurant in Japan! The karaage is the best I have ever had! The ramen and gyoza are delicious. The chef and staff are incredibly kind and the service is perfect.
