Nogi, Tochigi, Japan｜Watanabe

2nd time here over the past few years. Honestly its not some place you would find or probably easily get to if you're on holiday in Japan. Good if you're a local or somewhat nearby. The Soba noodles here are deliciously hand made and they can be served with amazing crunchy yet succulent tempura vegetables and prawns. My get my in laws to bring me anytime I'm around, would recommend if you have the opportunity. It is just a 15 minute walk from Nogi Station. Taste is authentic and absolutely umai! But on the pricy side but well worth it with the quality.

Highly rated and gave it a try. It's not along the road, but a little inside, so if you don't search, you'll get lost. It has a beautiful entrance, and the inside is clean and luxurious. The price may be high, but the tempura you ordered is delicious with hot tempura and smooth soba. It took a little long time to come out after ordering, but I was satisfied because it was delicious.

2023.09 after a long time. Visited around 1 o'clock on weekdays. There seemed to be a wait during peak hours, but at this time it was calm and I was able to get in without waiting. This time I'm going to have fresh flour seiro and chikuwa tempura. I actually wanted to eat something like vegetable tempura, but the platter all came with shrimp. . . Apparently, if you ask, they'll make it without shrimp (I overheard a later customer talking to the staff). However, this chikuwa tempura was delicious! The meaty chikuwa is very satisfying to eat. It was delicious chikuwa. Soba is always delicious! Thank you for the meal! 2022.10 Visited for the first time in a very long time. This is my first visit since they moved from the store along the national highway. It's located in a secluded area that can't be seen from the national highway, so you won't know unless you're planning a visit here. I think there are fewer seats than before, but the service was more attentive and the atmosphere was nice. The tempura in front was a bit off. . That's what it felt like, but this time it was delicious! 2018 I ordered 100% Tenseiro. The soba is firm and has a good flavor. The tempura shrimp head was delicious, but I think the rest could have been fried a little crisper.
