You can eat authentic, standard Mizusawa udon at a high-class restaurant. Everyone in the Kanto area probably knows Osawaya from its radio commercial. For tempura, you can choose between maitake tempura and vegetable tempura. It seems that the standard type of Mizusawa udon is the tsukemen type.

I ordered a set of 2 types of soup. The udon is indeed Mizusawa udon! It has a good waist and is great for passing through the throat. The Maitake mushroom tempura was also very crispy and delicious. The sesame soup was especially delicious. It took a while to deliver, probably because they were making it in bulk, but I guess it can't be helped. The amount of udon and tempura is usually enough, so be careful not to easily order a large portion.
